Jesus made it clear that His church should be about “making disciples” (Mt 28:18-20). Disciples are transformed believers who are changing their worlds because Jesus has changed them. Here at Grace Church we talk often about "touching lives" and "transforming communities." As we endeavor to become who Jesus has called us to be, we follow a simple discipleship process:
Life is better in the company of others. The simple fact is that we were designed for relationship but live with an ever-increasing sense of isolation. This is a place to find friends who will help you along life's journey and have fun with you along the way. We intentionally create regular opportunities to make new connections, whether in-between our services at The Bridge or at our scheduled "Connect Events." Choosing to make a connection is up to you - we never force the issue - but we are pretty confident you will be glad you did.
There are three steps we take when committing our lives to Jesus Christ. The first step is when we put our faith in Christ for Salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Next, we choose to obey Jesus' command by declaring our faith publicly in Water Baptism (Acts 2:38). Finally, we seek to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit as experienced when we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5).
As we strive to become who Jesus has called us to be, we follow a road of discovery. It's simple...committed people grow. Growing people serve. Serving people transform their world and lead others to Jesus.
As a Christian, it's important for us to learn how to GROW. The Bible tells us that God intends for us not to stay the same but to become all that He desires for us to be (Hebrews 6:1). Our spiritual growth happens best when we do this together.
Here at Grace we believe in doing church as a team. If you decide to call this place home, then you'll be looking for places to serve. Here are just a few:
